Maciej Szczepanik's work experience began in 2002 when they joined Enzo Life Sciences, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Maciej worked in this role for almost 10 years until July 2012. Maciej Szczepanik completed their Master's Degree in Biochemistry from Uniwersytet Opolski, starting in 1989 and finishing in 1994. Following this, they pursued further education and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Chemistry from Stony Brook University, studying from 1994 to 2002.
