Yoram Barak

Yoram Barak is an experienced professional in biotechnology and microbiology, currently serving as the Head of Marketing for Pharma and other process industries at Applied Materials since November 2020. With a background that includes roles at BASF as Scientific Marketing Manager for Human Nutrition & Health, Innovation Manager, and Group Leader in White Biotechnology Research, Yoram has a strong foundation in scientific marketing and innovation. Yoram also possesses expertise in microbial physiology, enzyme and strain engineering, and assay development, having worked as a Consultant with Omniox Inc. and as a Technical Leader at Codexis Inc. Prior academic achievements include a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University focusing on directed enzyme evolution and microbial drug delivery. Yoram holds a PhD in Animal Sciences from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
