Matt Bennett

Matt Bennett is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in systems engineering and research and development. Currently serving as Principal Systems Engineer and Senior Group Leader at ARA since February 2012, Bennett has held various engineering roles, including VP of Research and Development and Controls Engineer at Windlift, and a Controls Engineer at Megawatt Solar. Prior to these positions, Bennett was the President of Discover Technologies, Inc. and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech. Bennett holds a BS, MS, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, completed between 1995 and 2005.
