Cary Nichols is the Chief Underwriting Officer at Applied Underwriters since April 2021, where responsibilities include building a Financial Lines business. Prior to this role, Cary served as Senior Vice President at Argo Group International Holdings, Ltd. from August 2016 to April 2021, overseeing Professional Lines Underwriting and leading the San Francisco Office. Previous experience includes positions as Principal at Integro Insurance Brokers, Vice President at Everest National Insurance Company and Arch Insurance Group, and AVP at Chubb. Cary began the career as a Senior Underwriter at Executive Risk. Cary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from the University of Connecticut, earned between 1991 and 1995.
