Christa O'Rear is a seasoned marketing and print project management professional with extensive experience in brand communications and public relations. As Print Team Manager at Applied Underwriters since July 2020, Christa leads a team specializing in commercial production, layout design, and print procurement, enhancing creative designs into functional works of art. Previous roles at Applied Underwriters include managing both the Print and Administration teams. Prior experience includes serving as Marketing Manager at Travelex Insurance Services, where Christa collaborated on product launches and designed numerous marketing materials, and Public Relations and Marketing Specialist at Carroll Communications, where successful campaigns and website launches were managed. Christa holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and is currently pursuing an MBA with a Marketing concentration at Bellevue University.

Applied’s story starts with workers’ compensation insurance. We took a difficult, heavily regulated line of insurance, made it our singular focus, and made it better. We did this by first learning its intricacies and the very real human risk it addresses. We then used that insight to help our customers better manage their risk. This pattern of deep study, considering the human side of risk, seeing opportunities where others see obstacles, and educating customers carried us to new product lines, new challenges, and a global collective of loyal customers and partners.
