Jeroen Claesen is an experienced insurance professional currently serving as Chief Underwriting Officer for Applied Financial Lines at Applied Underwriters since December 2020. Prior to this role, Jeroen held the position of Product Head International Financial Lines - Director at StarStone Insurance from December 2015 to December 2020. Jeroen’s career in the financial lines sector began with roles at Catlin as Responsable Lignes Financières from April 2008 to December 2015, and at XL Group as Senior Underwriter Financial Lines and Claims Specialist from February 2002 to March 2008. Jeroen holds a Master in Management from the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Paris I: Panthéon-Sorbonne.
