Introduction:
AppLovin is seeking a highly motivated and detailed-oriented Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator to join our security team. The GSOC Operator will be responsible for monitoring and managing security systems, responding to incidents, and ensuring the safety and security of the company's assets, employees, and visitors. This role requires excellent situational awareness and the ability to handle emergency situations effectively. Other responsibilities also include regular patrols, vendor/contractor management, and health & safety. This person will be an intricate part of the AppLovin day to day. The ideal candidate has experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and supporting the health & safety of employees. This role is based in our Palo Alto, CA HQ and is a 100% in-office role.
Responsibilities:
Monitor security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems.
Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies. Coordinate with internal teams and external agencies (e.g., law enforcement, fire departments) as necessary.
Maintain clear and effective communication with security personnel, management, and relevant internal stakeholders. Provide regular updates and reports on security status.
Document and log all security incidents, alarms, and significant activities accurately and promptly. Prepare detailed incident reports and summaries.
Conduct routine security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements to enhance security measures.
Ensure all security systems are functioning correctly. Perform regular checks, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate maintenance and repairs as needed.
Compile daily GSOC activities into daily shift reports
Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual GSOC reports
Conduct daily patrols around the office interiors and exteriors
Health & Safety Emergency Procedures: Assist Head of Security on executing emergency response protocols and procedures, including evacuations, lockdowns, and other crisis management actions.
Monitor security ticketing system for all security requests (i.e badge or access)
Assist w/ special projects/tasks as needed
Requirements
Minimum 3-4 years experience in GSOC
Proficient in Word, Excel, JIRA, Gmail, and other Google products such as Google Docs
California Security Guard license
Prior security operations center (SOC) experience preferred
Proficiency with security systems and technologies (CCTV, access control, alarm systems, etc.).
Strong aptitude for staying focused and organized in a fast-paced environment with the ability to change gears quickly
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively via telephone and email
Ability to interact with all levels of employees and visitors
Superior multi-tasking and time-management abilities
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment with a diverse group of staff essential
Work experience in high-tech and/or start-up environment preferred
Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including nights, weekends, and holidays (if needed)
