Yousif Altahan

Yousif Altahan is an experienced professional in the petroleum industry, currently serving as the Head of Unconventional Resources Completion Operations and Head of Upstream Transformation Office at Saudi Aramco since May 2021. Yousif has held multiple leadership roles at Saudi Aramco, including Director of Upstream Business Support Department, Khurais CPF Maintenance Section Head, and Manager of Southern Area Production Engineering Department. Yousif's extensive experience includes positions as General Supervisor of the Northern Area Facilities Division and Reservoir Engineer, along with significant contributions as a drilling engineer and production engineer. Yousif has also been involved with the Society of Petroleum Engineers, serving on the Board of Directors and as Chairman, where recognition included the International SPE President Excellence Award. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Petroleum Engineering from UNSW and a Finance & Strategy Program from London Business School, with ongoing studies in Executive Leadership at Esade.
