John Allison

John Allison has a diverse background in engineering and research, with a focus on innovative solutions for building performance simulation and control systems. John currently holds a dual role as Principal Product Engineer and Product Manager of Emerging Technologies at arbnco. John is a fully certified Niagara 4 developer and works on integrating diverse building systems using sensing technologies to improve operational efficiency. Prior to their current role, John worked as a Building Controls Engineer, where John designed and implemented automatic control solutions for commercial buildings. John's research experience includes projects funded by EPSRC and the European Commission, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainable energy deployment. John holds a PhD in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and has a strong educational background in mechanical engineering from various institutions.
