Alexander Dobin, Ph.D., currently serves as the Director of Bioinformatics at the Arc Institute since April 2024. Prior to this role, Alexander held various positions at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory from September 2008 to April 2024, including Assistant Professor, Head of Bioinformatics Core, and Computational Science Manager II. Earlier in Alexander's career, from September 2003 to September 2008, experience included roles as Senior/Staff/Senior Staff Engineer at Seagate Technology. Alexander earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical Physics from the University of Minnesota, completing the degree between 1997 and 2003.
