Silvana Konermann

Executive Director & Core Investigator at Arc Institute

Silvana Konermann is currently the Founder, Executive Director, and Investigator at Arc Institute since December 2021, while also serving as an Assistant Professor at Stanford University since October 2019. Additionally, Konermann has been a Hanna H. Gray Fellow at Howard Hughes Medical Institute since October 2017 and served as a Chan Zuckerberg Biohub Investigator from October 2019 to May 2022. Prior experience includes a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies from February 2016 to September 2019 and a graduate student at MIT from October 2009 to February 2016, where Konermann completed a PhD in Neuroscience. Education also includes a Bachelor of Science in Neurobiology from ETH Zürich (2006-2009) and early studies at Landesgymnasium St. Afra Meißen (2003-2006).
