Basil Ahmed has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as an Investment Banking Analyst at Lazard from 2007 to 2009. Basil then joined the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in 2009 as an Investment Professional in Healthcare and Education, where they executed private equity, debt, and mezzanine investments in emerging markets until 2012. Basil also co-founded The Eden School Project in 2012 and served as a Co-Founder until 2014. Basil then pursued higher education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where they obtained an MBA and MA in Education from 2012 to 2014. Most recently, Basil worked at Arcapita as the Director and Head of Corporate Finance, starting in 2015.
Basil Ahmed pursued their education in a progressive manner, obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Commerce with a focus on Finance from McGill University between 2004 and 2007. Basil then went on to acquire their Master's degree in Arts with a specialization in K-12 Education from Stanford University in 2014. Concurrently, during the same period, Basil also completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business.
