Palash Verma

Palash Verma is a seasoned strategy professional with extensive experience in the steel and minerals industry. Currently serving as Strategy Manager and Executive Advisor to the CEO CIS at ArcelorMittal since January 2019, Palash leads integrated strategy development and transformation initiatives for one of the company's largest operations, securing over $3B in capital investments. Notable achievements include the formulation of a long-term decarbonization strategy aligned with the company's commitment to carbon neutrality by 2050 and successful engagement with European financial institutions for project funding. Prior to ArcelorMittal, Palash held roles in corporate strategy and inventory planning at Schneider Electric and Rio Tinto, demonstrating expertise in operational efficiency and strategic analysis. Palash holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, and an MBA from HEC Paris.
