Kathleen (Kathy) Russo Garcia has a diverse work experience in various organizations throughout their career. Kathleen (Kathy) started working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in 1992 as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. Kathleen (Kathy) then moved on to Inspirited Counseling Services in 2012, where they held the same position until 2016. In 2006, they joined Facial Prosthetics Center as a Practice Manager, where they worked until 2018. From 2016 to 2019, Kathy worked at Catholic Charities of Baltimore, first as a School Consultant and then as a Parochial School Consultation Coordinator. Currently, they hold a position at the Archdiocese of Baltimore, where they serve as the Director of Student Support Services since 2022, after working as a School Counselor from 2019 to 2022.

Kathleen (Kathy) Russo Garcia's education history begins with their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology from Loyola University Maryland. Kathleen (Kathy) then pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Clinical Psychology. Kathy later attended The Johns Hopkins University, where they earned a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (C.A.G.S.) in Clinical Community Counseling.

In addition to their academic achievements, Kathy holds several certifications. Kathleen (Kathy) is an Approved Clinical Supervisor accredited by the Maryland Board of Professional and Therapists. Kathy is also a Board Certified Counselor, certified by the National Board of Certified Counselors. Furthermore, they hold the title of Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), awarded by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors. Lastly, Kathy is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) accredited by the National Board of Certified Counselors.
