Carla began their career as an Afterschool Head Kindergarten Teacher at Footsteps Childcare in 2012, where they focused on providing a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and communicating with parents. In 2014, they joined Bright Horizons as a Kindergarten/Prep Teacher, where they implemented various instructional styles and integrated Common Core Standards. In 2016, Carla became the Preschool Director at the Archdiocese of San Francisco.
