Marcelo Alexandre Carvalho is a seasoned professional in packaging design and innovation, currently serving as a Packaging Design Specialist at ADM since May 2024. With a robust background in research and development as an R&D Packaging Engineer at Mars and extensive experience at Diageo as a Marketing Innovation Manager, Marcelo has successfully managed new product launches in the spirits sector in Brazil. Previous roles include Innovation & Brand Change Manager at Pif Paf Alimentos, leading packaging system reengineering projects, and Senior Packaging Engineer at Sadia, where coordination of packaging development was central. Marcelo holds a Master's degree in Food Technology with a focus on Food Packaging Engineering from Universidade Estadual de Campinas, along with qualifications in Food Science and Technology from Universidade do Contestado and a Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering from Universidade Federal de Viçosa.
