Web Design & Digital Marketing

Are you seriously creative with a passion for font placement and color theory? Do you like people enough to argue about form and function all day and still grab a bite to eat after work?

We are looking for a Web Designer/ Digital Marketer with 2 - 5 years of professional experience to add to our growing team of crafters, surfers, runners, tinkerers, gamers, and wine connoisseurs. The right person has an eye for color, font, and the use of negative space, plus a logical side to think through how to best solve customers' business and marketing challenges.

Our clients and projects are as diverse as our people, ranging from a not-so-small milkshake bar in Myrtle Beach to some of the largest companies in the world. You should be comfortable talking about print, web, and social creations and capable of developing assets across many platforms.

What your day looks like:

• Participate in a daily huddle, get your assignments for the day’s work
• Create and schedule social posts, both for ASC and clients
• Jump into client designs, WordPress development, or other creative projects
• Meet with developers about potential design challenges
• Create a drip campaign for an upcoming event
• Tweak a PowerPoint deck to perfection
• Create sales and marketing materials for ASC and clients

Job Responsibilities:

• Create intriguing designs for websites, social media, and other creatives
• Develop and maintain WordPress websites
• Prepare presentations and marketing materials
• Write/ edit content for websites and marketing collateral

You have:

• 2+ years of experience within a corporate or agency setting
• A strong grasp of the Adobe Creative Cloud or similar design tools
• Ability to articulate design decisions confidently—both written and oral
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders that don’t always understand design
• Ability to ideate from an initial concept and shepherd it through the design process to implementation
• Exceptional skills in HTML and CSS: You can make your designs come alive on the screen
• Strong understanding of WordPress, themes, and plugins: You should be able to take your designs to reality
• Excellent attention to detail
• Strong critical thinking and creative skills
• Ability to work closely with others

Bonus Points:

• PHP or React Development skills

• Industry certifications in design and user experience

• Familiarity with cybersecurity and data/analytics
