Architect of the Capitol
Joe Campbell currently serves as the Deputy Architect of the Capitol, with a focus on developing human capital strategies and fostering workforce growth. Since starting with the Architect of the Capitol in December 2016, Campbell has held multiple leadership roles, including Facilities Manager for the Supreme Court and Acting Chief Security and Financial Officer. Campbell's extensive experience in the U.S. Navy includes roles as Commanding Officer of Amphibious Construction Battalion TWO and Facilities and Environmental Director, overseeing significant budgets and complex projects. Educational credentials encompass a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the United States Naval Academy, a Master's in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, and business management training from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and the Naval Postgraduate School.
