Architectus
Matthew Smith is a highly experienced architectural professional currently serving as the Principal in the Commercial Sector at Architectus since February 2015. In this role, Matthew provides operational leadership, manages financial performance, and oversees design consistency across commercial projects. Previously, Matthew held the position of Managing Principal at the Melbourne Studio, focusing on studio culture, design philosophy, and brand reputation. Prior experience includes roles as Principal at Crone Partners and Director at Peddle Thorp, alongside a foundational role as a Graduate Architect at Whiting Architects. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Deakin University and a degree in architectural technology from RMIT University, supplemented by earlier education at Salesian College, Chadstone.
