Following their service, they joined Northrop Grumman as a Software Integration Test Engineer. Gene then worked at SAIC as a Senior Systems Engineer, Project Manager, and Program Manager. Later, they joined SGIS/Salient Federal Solutions as a Proposal Coordinator, Program Manager, and VP of Operations. Currently, they are the Executive Vice President at Ardent Eagle Solutions, where they have held roles in Contracts and Operations since 2012.
Gene Steffanetta obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Cornell University, where they attended from 1973 to 1977. Gene then pursued further education at the Naval Postgraduate School from 1981 to 1983, earning a Master of Science degree in Systems Technology (C3).
