Gianmarco Barnes

Gianmarco Barnes is a Senior Fashion, Embroidery and Trim Designer currently at AREA, responsible for the creative and technical development of embroidered garments. With a background that includes serving as a Figurative Anatomy Professor at IED Istituto Europeo di Design and over nine years as a Senior Fashion and Embroidery Designer at Dolce & Gabbana, Gianmarco has a rich history in haute couture and ready-to-wear fashion. Previous roles also include positions at Maison Flaneur, Fabio Gatto S.r.l., and Ballantyne. Gianmarco holds a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from Università Iuav di Venezia and an artistic diploma from Liceo artistico statale Amedeo Modigliani in Padova.
