The Position

Arevon is recruiting for the position of Contract Compliance Associate (IRA), an outstanding opportunity for individuals seeking an exciting, high-growth work environment in one of the most important industries of the 21st century.

Job Description

The Contract Compliance Associate (IRA) will be a part of the Arevon Procurement Team and will report directly to the Manager of Contract Compliance. This newly established position will oversee compliance with the Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship (PWA) and Domestic Content (DC) requirements as described in the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA). This individual will liaise across the Arevon enterprise to ensure full compliance with the IRA’s requirements, mitigating potential risks associated with capturing investment tax credits (ITC) and production tax credits (PTC). This includes necessary recordkeeping and data analysis/monitoring obligations. Remote working options may be possible.

Responsibilities

  • Create a repository for compliance support materials, in conjunction with the Procurement, Tax, and Legal departments.
  • Coordinate with the Procurement, Construction, and Operation and Maintenance departments to identify, collect, verify, and review necessary information for tax credit compliance associated with base credits (including beginning of construction, valuation information, PWA exemptions, or PWA compliance information), and DC and Energy Communities additional credits.
  • Conduct and create periodic reports to identify completeness of recordkeeping (and any potential non-compliance gaps) regarding records retention, particularly with respect to the PWA requirements, to cure any identified defects.
  • Maintain a process and reporting regime that monitors the necessary requirements for each relevant transaction and the status/requirements of all relevant agreements.
  • Report IRA compliance status and risk assessments to executive management in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Support information inquiries from US Treasury, IRS, or other government entities as needed in compliance with IRA tax credit provisions.
  • Coordinate with other departments on reporting incidents of non-compliance.

Experience Requirements

  • 2-5 years of experience with administrative and/or compliance matters, demonstrating a continued track record of advancement and growing responsibility.
  • Proven skills in overseeing complex administrative and organizational business needs – the ability to be a self-starter with low levels of day-to-day supervision is a plus.
  • Familiarity and comfort in navigating ambiguous situations to arrive at pragmatic solutions that address the needs of multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Process-driven mindset with attention to quality control and detail.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, particularly in conveying complex rules and requirements to general audiences.
  • Consensus mindset – able to consider alternative perspectives with an open mind while being persuasive in outlining risks and proposing mitigation solutions.
  • Unquestioned integrity – possessing the conviction to express opinions, even if unpopular, and to do the right thing.
  • Experience with Davis Bacon Act compliance and construction-related activities is preferred.
  • Experience working in a financial institution, independent power producer, energy strategic, or similar enterprise is preferred.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
