John Oxtoby

John Oxtoby is a Senior Vice President and Director of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Investing at Ariel Investments. John is also a Lecturer on ESG and Impact Investing at the University of Chicago. Prior to this, John held positions at The White House, serving as Associate Director on the President's Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, as well as Special Assistant to Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett. John also has experience working with the Obama-Biden Transition and Obama for America. John holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Harvard University.
