Stephan van Santbrink has a diverse work experience in the energy industry. Stephan is currently the Chief Executive Officer of ARLANXEO, a position they started in October 2023. Prior to this, they served as a Non-Executive Board Member for ARLANXEO and held various roles in different companies. These include being a member of the Board Audit Committee for SABIC, Motiva Enterprises LLC, and Aramco Trading. Stephan also served as a Non-Executive Board Member for Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) and Aramco Overseas Company. At Aramco, they held executive positions such as Downstream CFO, Head of Strategy & Business Support, Downstream CFO, and Upstream CFO. Stephan also worked at Shell, where they were the Vice President Finance Integrated Gas, and at Arrow Energy as the Group Financial Controller. Prior to that, they had various roles at Shell, including Controller Upstream Middle East and Northern Africa, Global Controller Projects & Technology, Global Treasurer Upstream, Tax advisor Middle-East / Russia, Tax advisor America's, and Holding company tax advisor.
Stephan van Santbrink completed their Master's degree in Law and Economics at the University of Amsterdam from 1991 to 1997. Stephan also pursued an Executive MBA at the Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University from 2003 to 2004.
