James King

James King is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software architecture and engineering. Currently serving as the VP of Software Architecture and Fellow at Arm since September 2014, James is responsible for the technical leadership of open-source software solutions across various segments, including Mobile, Enterprise, Networking, Embedded, IoT, Robotics, and Automotive. Prior to Arm, James held several key positions at Broadcom from 2006 to 2014, focusing on mobile phone chipset software, and at Samsung Electronics Ltd, where James managed the development of innovative mobile applications and frameworks. Earlier career roles include Software Architect at Sun Microsystems Ltd and Software Engineer at Madge Networks. James earned a PhD in High Energy Physics from the University of London between 1992 and 1995.
