Michael Abrams

Michael Abrams is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in equity research and investment management. Currently serving as Director of Research at Artisan Partners since January 2017, Michael leads research coverage in Industrials, Energy, Chemicals, and cyclicals, while also focusing on analyst recruitment, training, risk management, and business development. Prior experience includes positions at Pine River Capital Management as an Analyst and Fortress Investment Group as VP of Liquid Markets, as well as roles with Centurion Investment Group and Sonterra Capital. Michael began a career in engineering, working as a Mechanical Engineer at Start, LLC, before transitioning into finance. Michael holds a Master's degree in Engineering & Applied Science from Yale University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Haven.
