Artis—Naples
David Filner has held various positions in the arts and orchestra management industry. David began their career in 2005 at the San Antonio Symphony, where they held roles such as Director of Education and Community Engagement, Vice President and General Manager, and Interim President and CEO. From 2011 to 2012, they worked as an Orchestra Management Fellow at the League of American Orchestras. Since 2013, they have been with Artis—Naples, initially as Vice President of Artistic Operations and currently as the Executive Vice President of Artistic Operations.
David Filner has a strong educational background in the field of music, specifically Viola Performance. David obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) and Bachelor of Music degrees from Oberlin College between 1991 and 1996. Following this, they pursued further studies at Rice University and completed their Master of Music degree in Viola Performance from 2007 to 2009.
