Gabriel Velazquez

Gabriel Velazquez is an experienced Mass Spectrometry Specialist Engineer II currently working at ARUP Laboratories since January 2025, following a role as Method Development Scientist at Aliri from June 2022 to January 2025. Earlier, Gabriel served as a Polymer Research Chemist at Biomerics for a brief period in July 2016, focusing on the development of polymer synthesis and production processes for medical devices. From August 2014 to June 2016, Gabriel was an Oligo Chemist at BioFire Diagnostics, responsible for the development and quality assurance of oligonucleotide sequences used in RT-PCR diagnostics. Gabriel holds a PhD in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology from the University of Michigan (2004-2008), a Master's degree in Bio Inorganic Chemistry from Utah State University (2003-2008), and a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology from the University of Puerto Rico (1993-1998).
