Thomas Frey

Thomas Frey, APR, serves as the Senior Director of Marketing & Communications at Ascend Elements, specializing in sustainable EV battery materials and lithium-ion battery recycling. With extensive experience in communication and marketing roles, Thomas previously established communication strategies for a fast-growing startup in the lithium-ion battery industry. Prior to this, Thomas held various strategic communication positions at NSF International, focusing on corporate communications and public relations for global health standards. Thomas also has a background in internal communication management at Yum! Brands and as Managing Director of Frey Communications, LLC, where integrated marketing services were provided to diverse organizations. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Journalism from Michigan State University and graduate studies in Organizational Change Leadership and Rhetoric and Composition.
