Alexander worked at Ascension from 2016 to present, starting as an Accountant and eventually becoming a Lead Financial Analyst. In their roles, they prepared financial analysis, provided key metrics to senior leadership, supported external audits, and collaborated with the financial reporting team. Before Ascension, they worked at OneAmerica as a Medical Underwriting Support Specialist from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they had a long tenure at Marsh Supermarkets, where they held multiple positions including Co-Manager and Office Manager (Head Bookkeeper).

Alexander started their academic journey in 2012 at Indiana Wesleyan University, where they pursued an Associate of Science (AS) in Business, which they completed in 2014. Determined to further enhance their skills, Alexander continued at the same university and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting between 2014 and 2016. Recognizing the importance of advanced knowledge in their field, they enrolled in Indiana Wesleyan University once again and obtained a Master of Science (MS) in Accounting from 2017 to 2018.
In addition to their academic achievements, Alexander Black holds the prestigious Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification. Alexander received this esteemed credential from the State of Indiana in August 2021, cementing their expertise in the field of accounting.
