Alex Gorsuch

Alex has led the development of over 100 products (concentrating on ruggedized, low SWaP-C projects like tactical autonomous systems, human performance tech, sensor arrays, and diagnostics) for the defense and first responder industries. He has taught tech development and customer discovery for 5 years, including NSF I-Corps, NSIN Defense Innovation Accelerator and Hacking for Defense, as well as DHS Startup Studio. He serves as a subject matter expert on emerging technology for the wildland fire service with Cal Poly and NewChip. He is an SBIR/STTR expert, having run the Illinois FAST Center (one of 24 SBA-funded Centers of Excellence across the nation). Additionally, he is an Entrepreneur in Residence at UIUC, where he concentrates on defense and first responder technology.
