Tanner Bitz is a Senior Robotics Software Engineer at Asensus Surgical since November 2021, where Tanner developed a cross-platform build and deployment system for surgical robotics and established team processes for software and hardware integration. Prior experience includes serving as a Staff Software Engineer at ARA, where Tanner enhanced augmented reality software, contributing to features that improved performance and usability across various embedded platforms. Tanner's background encompasses research as a Graduate Student Researcher at Arizona State University's Neuromuscular Control and Human Robotics Laboratory, as well as roles in education and internships at Northrop Grumman and Real Time Companies. Tanner holds both a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arizona State University, completed in 2019 and 2015, respectively.
