Ted Smith

Ted Smith is an experienced leader in institutional business development and financial services, currently serving as the Head of Global Consultant Relations and Subadvisory at Ashmore since July 2011. In this role, Ted Smith is responsible for managing relationships with institutional consultants and leading Ashmore's North American subadvisory business. Previous roles at Ashmore include Global Head of Intermediary Distribution and Head of US Intermediary Distribution, where Ted Smith successfully built intermediary business and launched mutual funds. Prior to Ashmore, Ted Smith held executive positions at The Optimum Funds and Delaware Investments, leading significant growth in assets and overseeing sizable sales and marketing teams. Ted Smith's early career includes positions in corporate law and private equity, with extensive education from renowned institutions such as Duke University, UCLA School of Law, and the University of Oxford.
