Suvendu Moitra has extensive work experience in the automotive industry. Suvendu started their career as an Area Sales Manager at Til-Tractor India in 1991 and worked there for eight years. Suvendu then joined Volvo Group as a Sr. Manager in Sales & Marketing, where they achieved various milestones such as meeting volume targets and launching new products. Suvendu later joined Hyundai Construction Equipment India Pvt Ltd as a Dy. General Manager in Marketing, where they successfully set up a Green-field project for Excavators and increased market share. Suvendu then moved to Asia Motor Works Limited as a General Manager in Sales, overseeing the East & Central zone. In 2012, Suvendu joined Ashok Leyland, where they held several Vice President roles. These roles included overseeing the East & International operations, where they significantly increased market share and maintained a consistent gross margin. Suvendu also served as Vice President of the Retail Finance and Long Haulage Business Unit divisions. In their most recent role, Suvendu served as Vice President of Special Project (Construction & Mining) and Vice President Network & CEO of Gulf Ashley Motors Ltd. In this role, they focused on improving dealer profitability and enhancing dealer satisfaction.
Suvendu Moitra completed an Executive Development Program at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Jadavpur University, which they attended from 1987 to 1991.
