Ashraya Initiative for Children (AIC) is a community-based 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to improving the lives and shaping the futures of vulnerable children in Pune, India by advancing educational opportunities, nurturing holistic development and building healthy, empowered communities.  

The organization has grown significantly over the last decade: today, AIC’s main activities are divided into four distinct yet interconnected programs: the Residential Program, the Education Outreach Program, the Health Outreach Program, and the Community Outreach Program. Each of these programs contributes towards AIC’s broader goal of providing opportunities, resources, and support for vulnerable slum and street children in Pune.
