Gerrit Held is a seasoned climate finance professional with extensive experience across international development banks and climate initiatives. Currently serving as a Climate Change Specialist in Markets Development and PPPs at the Asian Development Bank since May 2024, Gerrit previously held roles at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as an Associate focused on Climate Finance and Carbon Markets, and at the Green Climate Fund as a Climate Finance Consultant in the Private Sector Facility. Gerrit’s earlier career involved project and export finance support at KfW in South America, as well as impactful roles in infrastructure finance in Namibia and natural resource management in India.
