Nelly Defo

Nelly Defo is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in financial management and risk assessment across various international organizations. Currently serving as a Senior Financial Control Specialist at the Asian Development Bank since April 2018, Nelly is responsible for reviewing project documents to ensure compliance with fiduciary controls and ADB guidelines for loans, grants, and technical assistance projects. Prior roles include Principal Risk Officer at the African Development Bank, Head of Investments and Treasurer at Shelter Afrique, and various financial analyst and management positions at companies such as DIAGEO BRANDS B.V., Paramount Home Entertainment, and HP. Nelly holds a Doctor's Degree in Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School and multiple advanced degrees in Finance and Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University and ICN Business School.
