Shantanu Chakraborty currently serves as the Country Director for Viet Nam at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), a position held since August 2005, where Shantanu leads operations in the country. Prior to this role, Shantanu was the Director of Infrastructure Finance for South Asia, Central Asia, and West Asia within ADB's Private Sector Operations, overseeing infrastructure projects in 16 countries. Earlier in the career, Shantanu worked at ICICI Bank as Vice President of Project and Infrastructure Finance from April 1993 to June 1999. Academic qualifications include an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business, an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Early education was completed at Shishu Bihar School and St. Paul's School, Darjeeling.
