Phillip Martin has extensive experience in the field of data engineering and analytics. Phillip began their career in 2009 as an IT Technician at Jingle Networks and later transitioned to the role of an Analyst. In 2011, they joined SavingStar, Inc. as an Analytics Developer, where they worked until 2014. Phillip then joined Rakuten Loyalty as a Senior Software Data Engineer and further advanced their career. Since 2018, Phillip has been serving as a Senior Data Engineer at ASICS Digital (formerly Runkeeper).
Phillip Martin has a strong educational background in philosophy. Phillip obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Philosophy from Thomas More College of Liberal Arts from 2001 to 2005. Following that, they pursued further studies and completed a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Philosophy from KU Leuven between 2005 and 2007.
In addition to their educational qualifications, Phillip Martin has also obtained certification as a MongoDB Certified Developer from MongoDB, Inc. in June 2015.

He chose the name ASICS for his company in 1977, based on a famous Latin phrase "Anima Sana In Corpore Sano", which when translated expresses the ancient ideal of "A Sound Mind in a Sound Body." ASICS products were introduced to the United States in 1977 and brought with them an incredible story of athletic performance and technical advancements.
