Dr. Christian Appelt started their work experience in 2009 as a student assistant and conducted their diploma thesis until 2010 at Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität. Dr. Christian then worked as a research assistant and doctoral student from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they joined Dottikon Exclusive Synthesis AG as a chemist in research and development. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a laboratory manager for research and development in inorganics at ASK Chemicals. Dr. Christian then became the global business manager for inorganics at ASK Chemicals from 2016 to 2022. Currently, they are the Head of Business Line Management Europe at ASK Chemicals starting from October 2022.
Dr. Christian Appelt obtained their degree in Anorganische Chemie (Inorganic Chemistry) from the University of Münster. Dr. Christian pursued their studies at the university from 2004 until 2013, ultimately earning the degree of Doktor der Naturwissenschaften (Doctor of Natural Sciences).
