Herman Borg

Herman Borg is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in optical technology and system engineering. Currently serving as Senior Manager for System Engineering Applications in Metrology and Data at ASML since May 2018, Borg has previously held significant roles at Philips Lighting, including Senior Project Manager for Connected Lighting and Department Head for Optics & LED. Borg also contributed to Philips Research as Department Head of Optics and spent several years at OM&T B.V. and Philips Optical Storage, managing R&D projects in thin-film photovoltaics, OLED technology, and optical storage media. An academic background includes a PhD in Spectroscopy of Catalytic Surface Reactions from Eindhoven University of Technology and an MSc in Applied Physics from the University of Twente.
