Patricia Prado Lopes

Patricia Prado Lopes has a diverse work experience in the field of life sciences. Patricia started their career as a Research Associate at the Minority Science Program from 2009 to 2012. Patricia then joined the Molecular Biology & Biochemistry Department as a Teaching Assistant, where they instructed undergraduate laboratory and core courses and participated in programs that supported teachers and students in minority-serving schools.

In 2012, Patricia became a Graduate Research Associate at UC Irvine and simultaneously pursued their Graduate studies in Immunology at the University of California, Irvine. Patricia completed their role in both positions in 2014.

Following their academic pursuits, Patricia worked at BioLegend as an Immunoassay Research Associate II from 2014 to 2016. In this role, they developed, optimized, and manufactured BioLegend's novel multiplex immunoassay and played a crucial role in transitioning the product line from development to large-scale manufacturing.

From 2016 to 2021, Patricia worked at CTK Biotech, Inc. as a Scientist I/IVD Production Manager. Patricia oversaw the production of IVD kits and ensured compliance with FDA regulations and quality management systems. Patricia also contributed to product development, production process improvement, and facility management.

Currently, Patricia is employed at Aspen Neuroscience, Inc. as a QC Scientist II/Manager starting in 2021. Their responsibilities include refining and performing analytical methods to study and characterize the processes for the production of cell therapies. Patricia also calibrates, validates, and operates QC instrumentation and performs routine maintenance.
