Amber started their career as a Marketing & Research Intern at Naylor, LLC in 2013, where they collaborated on cross-promotional advertisements and conducted marketing surveys. Amber then worked as an Assistant Sales Leader at Tween Brands from 2011 to 2013, managing a team and driving sales in a retail store.
In 2012, Amber had contributing writer roles at both The Independent Florida Alligator and The Gainesville Sun, where they published articles on topics such as local student initiatives and community events.
In 2015, they joined Wellons Communications as an Account Coordinator, where they wrote press releases, created content for blogs and social media, and optimized websites for search engine placement. Amber also worked as a Senior Account Executive and Account Executive at Uproar PR from 2017 to 2019, securing media coverage for clients and building relationships with journalists.
Since 2019, Amber has been with AssistRx, initially as a Senior Lead, Marketing Communications and currently as a Marketing & Communications Manager. In these roles, they have led and executed media strategies, expanded their responsibilities to include message development, internal communications, conference and event management, digital marketing, and social media management. Amber has also secured thought leadership articles in industry publications, reaching a significant audience.
Throughout their career, Amber has demonstrated a strong background in marketing and communications, with experience in content creation, media relations, and event management.
Amber Richards completed their secondary education at Santa Fe Catholic High School from 2006 to 2010. Subsequently, they pursued their undergraduate studies at the University of Florida from 2010 to 2014. Amber earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with a major in Public Relations and Political Science during their time at the university.
