Jon Lowther FCIPS has extensive experience in procurement and sourcing. Jon began their career at Unilever Bestfoods, where they served as Group Purchasing Manager for the savoury division. During this time, they were responsible for managing a budget of £40m and played a key role in the integration of Bestfoods and Van den Bergh.

From there, Lowther moved to B&Q as a Strategic Sourcing Manager, overseeing procurement strategies for the company.

In 2004, Lowther joined Associated British Foods (ABF) plc, taking on various roles of increasing responsibility. Jon served as Procurement Manager at R. Twining & Co, where they implemented category management and global sourcing strategies. Jon then became Head of Procurement at ABF Ingredients, leading the transition from local operational buying to strategic procurement.

In 2009, Lowther was appointed Head of Procurement Development at ABF, where they were responsible for procurement sourcing and supplier development processes. Most recently, they held the position of Global Head of Procurement for AB Mauri, overseeing a team of 90 professionals across 20 countries and managing a budget of £750m.

Overall, Lowther has a wealth of experience leading procurement initiatives in global organizations and has a strong track record of driving efficiency, improving supplier relationships, and delivering cost savings.

Jon Lowther FCIPS completed their education from 1985 to 1988 at Newcastle University, obtaining an HND in Business Studies.
