Nico Maounis has a diverse work experience in the field of news production. Nico started their career as a Freelance reporter and news producer in 1992, working on various projects until 1998. Nico then joined Whdh Channel 7 in 1999, where they worked as a Satellite News Gathering and Assignment News Desk staff. In 2000, they began freelancing for The Associated Press, MSNBC, NBC NewsChannel, BBC, and Antena3 as a news producer. During this time, they also held roles at The Associated Press, serving as a Producer from 2000 to 2008, Special News Events Manager for The Americas from 2008 to 2012, and finally, as the Head of Special News Events, The Americas from 2012 onwards.
Nico Maounis holds a Masters degree in Broadcast Journalism from Emerson College, which they completed in 1999. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelors degree in Communications from London Metropolitan University in 1996. In 1993, they obtained a Fashion Journalism - Certificate from the London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London. Nico Maounis completed their high school education at TASIS-Switzerland, earning a High School Diploma in 1992.
