Joaquim Jorge is a highly accomplished academic and researcher, currently serving as the UNESCO Chair of AI & XR and Full Professor at the University of Lisbon since November 2008. Additionally, Joaquim holds positions as Adjunct Professor at Victoria University of Wellington, Honorary Invited Professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, and Membre Libre at the Académie Nationale de Chirurgie. Joaquim has significantly contributed to the field as Editor-in-Chief of both the Computers & Graphics Journal and the Graphics and Visual Computing Journal for the ACM. With extensive experience at Instituto Superior Técnico as a Professor and Head of the Visualization and Intelligent Multimodal Interfaces Group at INESC-ID, Joaquim has also been actively involved in various committees and has a strong educational background, earning a PhD and MSc in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
