Kashyap Tumkur is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and platform development. Currently serving as the Head of Platform Engineering at Verily since July 2015 and as a Staff Software Engineer/Manager at Google, Kashyap was an early member of the life sciences team at Google X, which evolved into Verily Life Sciences. In addition to these roles, Kashyap is an active member of the US Technology Policy Committee and the Future of Computing Academy at the Association for Computing Machinery. Previous experience includes role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the Department of Biomedical Informatics at UC San Diego, and positions with various organizations including teaching assistantships and internships. Kashyap holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from UC San Diego and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science and Engineering from The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore.
