Gemma Baker has extensive experience in the education sector, currently serving as Area Director South East and Senior Policy Lead for Ofsted Inspection at the Association of Colleges since July 2018. In addition, Gemma has held the position of Ofsted Inspector since July 2016. Previous roles include Director of Strategy at the Association of South East Colleges from July 2012 to July 2018, Senior Regional Advisor at AOSEC from September 2011 to February 2014, Curriculum Manager at Newbury College from January 2008 to June 2012, and Course Leader for Overseas Trained Teachers at Barnet College from April 2005 to December 2007. Gemma holds a Masters in Post Compulsory Education and Training from the UCL Institute of Education and a PGCE in the same field from the University of Greenwich, along with a Cambridge Trinity Certificate in ESOL from St George's College.
