Jimmy McClellan has extensive experience in higher education and public service. Jimmy is currently the Associate Director for Urban Initiatives at APLU, where Jimmy leads the Urban Adult Learner Institute. Prior to this, Jimmy served as Assistant Director for Urban Initiatives and Council Member in the City of Hyattsville, Maryland. With a background in education, Jimmy holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Policy & Leadership, a Master of Arts in Education, and has worked as a Kindergarten teacher.

Association of Public and Land-grant Universities (APLU)

APLU is a membership organization that fosters a community of university leaders collectively working to advance the mission of public research universities.
