Michael Ledger

Michael Ledger has a diverse and extensive work experience. Michael began their career as a Performance Engineer at British Aerospace Woodford in 1983. Michael then moved on to work as a Regional Sales Engineer at IMI Marston Palmer, where they specialized in Fluid System components for Aerospace, Defence, and Space Systems. After that, they worked as a Senior Sales Engineer at Dowty Wolverhampton, where they were responsible for analyzing markets, identifying bid opportunities, and formulating win strategies. In 1991, they joined Fairey Hydraulics Ltd as Deputy Head of Marketing, where they analyzed existing business markets, formulated win strategies, and managed a team of Market Managers and the marketing office. Michael then worked at Claverham Ltd as Director of Sales and Contracts, where they developed strategies to turn around a loss-making division and grew the military and industrial projects business. Michael also served as a Business Development Manager during a management buyout of Fairey Hydraulics Ltd. In 2005, they became the Managing Director of IAD Rail Systems, where they managed an independent design and manufacturing site with full profit and loss responsibility. In 2010, they became the Head of Systems Engineering at Assystem, where they led the Systems Engineering function and developed strategic capabilities. Currently, they are the Business Development and Support Director at Babcock International Group, where they lead strategic development and improvement activities across the business unit and manages various functions such as Business Development, Business Improvement, Quality, Supply Chain, and Health and Safety. Throughout their career, Michael Ledger has demonstrated strong leadership and strategic skills in various industries, including aerospace, defense, and rail.

Michael Ledger attended Bramcote Hills Grammar School from 1972 to 1979, focusing on subjects such as Maths, Physics, and Further Maths. Michael then pursued an Honours degree in Aeronautical Engineering and Design from Loughborough University between 1979 and 1983.
